Been at my Mums over the weekend and spent some time looking through a suitcase of old pics 
About 1976, Doha Qatar and my brother got his bike well and truly bogged down in the subkha. It took 3 of us, a Chevy Blaser and a winch to get it out 
About 1956 or so, my Dad somewhere in the Persian Gulf with a small shark or dogfish

I have some others that i am afraid to post mind you  You should never be afraid to go back and look at old photos, its your history, you cant change it, laugh, cry whatever but dont be ashamed, or embarased. I found some photos of my only brother on facebook afew weeks ago, and to say thay knocked me of my feet is an understatment, you see he was killed in 84, when I was only 14, and it had a profound effect on my life, so to find some old photos that I had never even seen fetched back some amazing memories of a young lad killed in his prime, just starting out in the Paras. Photos are all I have left so I wouldnt be afraid to post em up Mark.. |
