Fitted and working. Had to do some minor fettling of the BHOA as my BA15-22 Vltor VIS upper was a tight fit. CMMG Mag worked fine, I have modified 2 of my 26 rounders, 4 still to go. My BDM 26 round mags look like they will be ok but I have yet to mod them, the 15 round straight CMMG mags will need to have the new mag springs trimmed. Will be giving them a full range test next Thursday, as have only fired 2 rounds in each mag so far. IM if you have any questions or requests. |
Got my bits
The BHOA is neat but quite bizarre in that I got excited about gaining a function the rifle should always have had
The Tac latch is surprisingly...tactile.
Seems to work well with weak hand loading. It was a bit of a risky purchase & not easy to get. Thats my spending done for some time by the looks of things
Thanks again John. Right, back out to give a customers CSL a slap....nearly had me beaten today |

Should've said, I've got a few of those knocking around What, some of these? http://www.techwearusa.com/uploads/products/68_img1.jpg No, not those He said: The Tac latch is surprisingly...tactile. How much do those go for this side of the pond then mate?? I've been considering the BCM one with the TacLatch2 on it, but think those big ones may have their place with faster rates of fire. |

If your BDM mags wont fit or are tight check them without the BHOA fitted, there is a raised ridge on the front face of mine that previously did not affect function but with the BHOA fitted will cause some snags. Note material removed to fit BHOA to dedicated upper, shown below. |

I'm left handed so as with the shot gun, rh gun with rhs eject means I can can jam clear, charge & weak hand load with rh hand with lh still on grip. If you hold rifle grip in left hand as I do, try cocking the rifle with your right hand with conventional charge handle. The detent release on conventional handle means wrong side for me for my style of quick shooting. This latch really makes a difference to me. I accept the scepticsm but if you see it in the flesh & the way the cammed bar pivots, it can be used ambidextrous, you might see why I like its operation......then again !
Cheers |

What mags are you using, mine are CMMG not started on the BDMs yet. Not even got that far with the mags.
Some thing is stopping the BHOA from operating when the upper is closed. I'm going to compare mine with Dan's next weekend, hopefully it'll be an easy fix & I won't have to pay for the ginger ones new tyres.

Dan's doesn't work either. Where did you get them? Mine's a BAR and Vltor VIS upper, look at the photos I posted earlier you need to fettle the front of the BHOA, don't force the upper down onto the BHOA. Dan's works. Andy. |

Don't know if it helps or not, but a few pictures say a thousand words. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?p=5190942 |
| There's lot of useful advice on here in the AR15/Rimfire and Pistol Calibres forum (BHOA Shipping) and the Industry/CMMG Inc forum if you haven't seen it already. There's also documentation available on the CMMG website. CMMG have really been on the ball getting making documentation and advice available. |
| I sent out the CMMG documentation with the ones I supplied and highlighted the areas that may need trimming on a dedicated upper, based on the fact that I have actually fitted one and got it working reliably. You could always send it to Bradders to tweak or get your supplier to help out. |
