Bentley is recalling some US cars as the flying B logo doesn't retract in a crash and as a result a pedestrian may get impaled....

...so being hit by a 2.5t car would be just a whole lot less dangerous

Maybe their concern is that Bentley owners will not be able to hit-and-run because the pedestrian will either have a big B imprint on them or will retain the ornament as evidence?

Apparently the Bentley logo is supposed to retract automatically in a crash, but the mechanism can fail if it gets rusty. So you buy a Betley and then let it get rusty! What are Chauffeurs for?
