Will the results be posted anywhere? I heard a rumour that I finished 24th ![]() |

Yes mate, you came in at a very respectable 24th. Glad you could make it in the end, but it looks like neither of us are going Stateside any time soon A chap called Adam Rowsell won the .223, and he was over the moon about it. Paul will tell the tale but he put a lot of money on the table in goes to win the gun and was overjoyed at winning it. Many thanks to Paul for all his help and assistance in ROing and building the match - I am going to sleep for a week now. |

Heard a couple of reports on the day.... Sounds like a lot of work went into the preparation and a brilliant shoot was had by all. I believe Mike45 put a lot of work in and did everyone proud.
If it happens again, I'd certainly be interested in coming along and supporting it. |

Well, seeing as I'm not in AZ sipping frozen Margarita's, I've spent the day with the Benelli and a Dremel and am happy to say that the shotgun is now very funky with the loading and ejection ports opened up (I must finish the ejection port on the mill though), mag spring cut down, shell latch relieved and bolt modified for a ghost load. Now it comfortably holds 11rds and is as slick as a slick thing |

I,ve done a little work on my own, but with nothing to copy, and no info available on the net, i dont want to go silly with the dribble, and feck the reciever. Particularly interested about the shell latch moddy. |

OK I am now about awake enough to post a sensible reply about the match - firstly I had a great time. A huge amount of time and effort was put into it by the helpers, and my thanks go out to them. Paul is one of these guys !
I loved every minute of it but must admit I was a bit nervous we had made the match too big and people could not finish in time but it worked out in the end. We raised a huge amount of money and I must admit I am still counting it - I will update you asap re the actual amounts in due course. My upmost thanks must go to our fantastic sponsors, MidwayUK, Shield, Bradley Arms, NSC, The Tunnel Shooting Center, David Ford Motors and Bride Valley Motors, and not forgetting the guys and gals who simply contributed stuff to make it run, like Rob Adam. Top People !! Shake their hands next time you see them and say 'Thank-you' ! For without them the DPOA would not be the match it is ! I take it the match T Shirts were a hit ???? I will order more for next year ! Congrats to everyone who managed to get there early and buy one - wear them with pride. Well done to everyone who won a gun - its amazing how many people who won one last year won one again this year, the odds against that are too high for me to work out but maybe its about how much raffle tickets they bought in the first place........ Or maybe they are just lucky ! My highlight of the weekend was having a few beers and dinner with a true hero, and what a truely nice bloke he is. I am honoured to meet him and he won a gun.... God smiles on this guy ! And I got to shake his hand. Thankyou to everybody who made the match - I hope to see you next year. A huge Thankyou to Mark for sponsoring the match - without doube it earned the charities a huge amount of cash they would not have had. Great rifle as well - I would like to have won that one !! Glad who attended had a great time - and I am your Huckelberry......

The RO said i could do it We weren't allowed to shoot the Mondeo, but the old red car was fail game! |

The Mondeo was shot as well It had a couple of .22 grazes on the roof ( scope picture over bore height problems for some! ) and god knows what happened to the rear door frame

I think the top of the front passenger door trim suffered a little as well when one of our squad took a popper out through the open window.... |
