Resizing some brass (PPU)  and pulled the base off the case, does any body know how to get the case out.
Before anybody says it I use Winchester but I thought I might try and see what ppu is like with my .223 load.

What dies are you using?

If you can take the expander out.....sometimes you use a stuck case remover on it.....come on blab :)

Not sure what calibre case you are having problems with but if its .308 I have one of the UK army issue devices for removing the case from the chamber when the base has torn off.

Issued to GPMG crews but should work on any .308 - let me know if you need it.

No problem.

Its a two piece item in the shape of a round complete with rim. Its put inside the stuck case and the working parts allowed forward to push it home. It then expands and grips the case from within allowing it to be extracted.

Probably a .223 one on issue now for the SAW thingy.

Should work even if the case is in a die rather than a chamber.

Hello over there, what you want is called a broken shell extractor

You should be able to find one online pretty easily, they run from 10 to 25 USD and can be a lifesaver.
You simply insert it from the broken end and tighten down, this forces the toothed end to grab the rim of the shell and then give a good pull.

I hope this helps

Thanks for the info, but I fixed it this morning.I used a similar idea, I used a tap(from a tap and die set)screwed it into the bottem of the case and knocked it out with a wooden mallet.
