Question about the Steyr AUGs that got imported a bit ago to the U.K.: what twist rate was the barrel on them and were they chrome lined? I just picked up one of the new A3s that Sabre Defence is making the receivers for. I was kind of surprised and a little disappointed that they come with a 1-in-9 twist barrel. Other than that it seems like they did a great job on them and just as well because it has been four years since Steyr was showing off the first A3s at the SHOT Show but could not import them for the U.S. market because of our goofy laws about imports of certain semi-automatics. Hopefully Steyr will improve the support for their products in the U.S. In the past they have not had the best record and spare parts seem pretty scarce still and really expensive. Also, is anyone here using one of the AUG "trigger tamers"? If so, what is your opinion of it?
Now for the obligatory gun pr0n:

Yep they had chrome lined bores with a 1in9 twist. The trigger amer makes a heck of a difference but it's still a crappy trigger compared to an AR15.
EDIT: You know what, just be grateful yours has gas parts

Saw a guy shooting one on Short Siberia last Sunday. It had a slightly shorter barrel and a very neat muzzle brake.
