Yes.
It was very good. Also saw something ( well part of it before dashing out ) recently on Ch4 - a muslim UK journalist sort of embedded himself with some Taliban operating in the northern border area. It was very interesting. A mixture of guys who were in it for the 5 dollars a day to the guys who seen the coalition forces like any other army who had invaded and simply wanted to eject them. One interesting thing - they were asked who was the toughest enemy, the Russians or the Coalition. They answered that the Russians were. And that they had beaten them. Then of course there were the eejits who wanted to make the whole world islamic. Similarly it showed the range of skills - from inept to scarily efficient - when it came to ambushes etc Interesting stuff. |

Indeed. While some are murderous terrorists who happily kill non combatants, some are poorly paid conscripts who feel they are trying to repel yet another invader.
And like poor bloody infantry since the year dot, they are sent to fight by leaders who never do any fighting. O |
