Quoted: I'll ask then......what's a fire control plan? I'm guessing that you get to decide how many rounds you put down on each detail to maximise your scoring potential..........or not? You have 64rds, points are 5 at 400, 4 at 300, 3 at 200 and 2 at 100. Targets with 6 or more hits get bonus points but you don't get any if you miss. How you shoot the match for max points is up to you. How many shots vs hits can you fire in 50 secs? You'll find out next week |

| You should be able to get all rounds off by the end of the 200 yards stage but watch out for stiff extractions as the chamber heats up. If you are planning on shooting at 400, 300 and 200 make sure you have enough rounds left to get at least 6 hits on each target at each distance. I'd go with 24 at 400, 26 at 300 and 14 at 200, if you don't get all you planned rounds off at a particular distance you just carry them forward. |

Thanks for that I just wanted to check it wasn't compulsary to shoot all distances, i've never shot this type of CoF |

RN's tips are worth listening to as he did win this match on the 3rd. I was surprised how many rounds I could get off in 50secs and only miss one Unfortunately I am away so will miss this match, but hope everyone has fun. |

I can't make it either, so that means first place in the girly class is up for grabs ![]() Fixed... Oooooooh..... handbags at dawn. Actually I'll be ( mostly) shooting in the service class with a girlie class rifle this year. Scope dialed down to 4.5 bipod folded.... self jamming 30 rnd mags when rested............

I've just got home and had a good weekend at Bisley.
Thanks to Mark for running everything yesterday, what a great bunch of guys you CSR chaps are. Nice to see some people again, and put names to faces for others. Really enjoyed the CoF especially the afternoon match. Oh and If you didn't stay the night last night, you missed the fireworks. |
|
Thoroughly enjoyable day that even the weather couldn't spoil! Though true to the predictions of most Bisley "veterans"; the moment that we finished shooting, the sun appeared!
Great to meet up with some familiar faces and also to put some names to faces from here too. Mark's mobile shop seemed as popular as ever! Looking forward to the next one! |

Results from yesterdays shoot.... http://www.ukshooting.com/pdf/NRA-SR-24Oct2009.pdf I had to guess at some clubs & rifle classes, so if yours is wrong please let me know... I'll be sending the results over to the NRA for final checking & posting on their website tomorrow. The scorecards for details 3 & 4 in the afternoon had been added up by someone on the day - but most were wrong! The bonus for the 300yard target had been calculated at 25 points per target, but it was only 15... so if your score is 20 points less than you thought, that's probably the reason!! Hope to see you all at the next one. |

Thanks for posting Nick.
Not bad for my first CSR, bit dissapointed with my afternoon performance, but I know where to improve. We know there were only 3 entrants in Practical optic, but Dales chuffed with his afternoon shoot. Thanks to all of you for an excellent days compertition |
