The level of detail is probabaly the reason Michael was asked to leave - a great shame but there's a lot of information in both the words and pictures that can be exploited.

He's a great guy and I made a donation to help him keep going but this post was extremely detailed.

A great shame as he was telling the reality of life on the ground rather than back at KAF or Lash.

He even has a page over at you tube too, he is good, and likes it at the front, I say keep him involved and busy before he is asked to go imbeded with the Taliban.

Hi 1Turk

According to his latest Twitter update, he's now preparing to go it alone in Helmand. He'll no longer be embedded with any forces...

.Now that strikes me as being an extremely dangerous decision to have made....

"Starting Thursday, going in Helmand without military. All embeds ending."

That is not good.

I wish him luck.

The friendly attack dog.  A dog handler recently told me he was
urinating when an Afghan soldier tried to grab his willy
.  The handler
said the dog bit the Afghan soldier who needed a few stitches.
