| If anyone hasn't seen this - then I would seriously recommend that they do. I just finished watching it on DVD. A seven hour long mini series, if you liked the recent BBC mini series "The Occupation" then you will love this - it's about ten times better! |

Oh, i thought 'Generation Kill' was a documentary series opposed to fiction? Or is it... The parts i saw looked like more of a documentary,, Either way, i agree it does look good, didn't enjoy 'occupation' too much though.. Its actually based on a book. Journalist from rolling stone magazine is attached to US Marines in order to do an article. However, he got so much material he decided to write his own book instead. Or so I believe. Read the book some time ago - very good - really sticks it to some of the more incompetant and reckless US leaders. And many references to panicky shooting of non-combatants by Marines. The wierdest bit - they issued little orange strobes to identify friendly forces. Problem was, from a distance they looked like rifle flashes and drew even more fire !! |
