I have to ask... With Labour gone, what are the chances of reinstituting the gun laws you had before the confiscation horror? Are any organisations working on that now? |

It's more likely that Lord Lucan would be sat on Shergar's back on the bow of the Titanic as it pulls into Southampton... No major party would advocate any sort of relaxing of gun laws; it would make them unelectable in nanny state Britain Olympic shooters were OK'd for Sec 5 and no one even noticed in the media or even gave a flying fuck. |

The only way I can see it happening is if the UK gun lobby puts the focus on EU member states and their laws and ask why we have different laws on firearms when the whole point of the EU is similar laws throughout.
If we had harmonisation of firearms law across the EU maybe we would get to shoot pistol and semi auto fullbore rifle again ?

Oddly enough, if Dunblaine had happened today, the blanket ban directed at all shooters would probably be illegal under B'Liars beloved European Convention of Human Rights… It would come under 'Collective Punishment' and that's expressly prohibited. That's what tripped up Neue Arbiet with the Brococks, couldn't just ban them outright as they were worried about that, but they could stop further sales, but Grandfather Rights were required to get around the clause and avoid the risk of litigation. |
