It turns out the two soldiers murdered in NI were flown home as freight and given no ramp ceremony for political reasons.
The following petition is to say how bollocks this is - 10 Downing Street Cheers |

As disgraceful as this is I'm not signing the Petition as I believe that this is more down to some penny pinching tw@t, who just didn't consider what he was doing, bet the richard head will not be getting sacked for his oversight, but I would love to see him get a visit from some of their mates when they get back from the sand pit.

Amazing - truely amazing.
I am sure the mode of transit and the low key arrival was designed to avoid any bad publicity for our doomed PM. But surely even a one eyed scottish idiot can see that treating deceased UK citizens, particularly those who served their country, with respect and dignity could only have helped rather than hindered his spin machine ??? Can they guy get nothing right ??? |

Tony Tony, This is the explanation from the petition organiser: "We have been told that the soldiers were not allowed to have a ramp service because of political reasons. We were told the Government didn't want anything that would look like the Troubles had restarted." Quite who it was in the government that made this decision remains unclear. I've actually writen to my MP asking for an explanation for this and also an explanation from him as to why he hasn't attended any of the funerals of the fallen. Andy |
