Any of you computer gurus please tell me .............

1, In terms of ar15.com pages and hotmail pages - what does 1 mb relate to ? If I roam in Germany I am told it will cost £3 per mb - is that good value ?

2, I just bought a laptop - wanted to take it to IWA 2009 - just setting it up and I can access any site except AR15.COM - when I try it redirects me to a search page

What can I do ?

I'm no expert.....at anything but

1.   £3 per MB sounds a lot.....having siad that I've seen prices of £10/mb    but it's relative to how much you download I suppose....What network are you on?

2.   Sounds like a service provider issue to me....Sky Broadband has caused some people problems  in getting onto ARFCOM. If it's a blocked site then it might re-direct you....

Hope you get it fixed.

That sounds pretty expensive to me - if you intend to spend any significant time on line it won't be cheap.

If you are being redirected to a search page when you try and reach AR15.com then it is probably be blocked by 3 and you'll need to use a proxy

Funnily enough there is a AOL tool bar on my laptop and it re-directs me to AOL search page.

Just spoke to customer services which sounds like its in India. Their boffins calling me within 48 hours !

In the meantime I will try that www.worksurfing.com proxy idea.

Wahay - I am in - great  tip - many thanks.
