Do you ever wish you didn't have a FAC?
I picked up my dog up from the Kennel on Friday he had deep(5mm deep 10mm accross) untreated sores on his legs I rushed him to the Vet and now £167 (to start with) later it looks like he's on the mend but will carry scars.

Now what realy hurts is I couldn't give the scum bag kennel owner the kicking he deserves for this neglect because I would lose my FAC and no doubt end up paying for the dick heads kids to  go on holiday school etc.!

Nick

Ps. I will be taking legal advice Monday morning.

That's a right bugger. I've used the same place for my dogs for ages and used to live v close. I ran past it several times a week so it was easy to get to know what sort of place it was, but of course things change and you never really know until something bad happens.

Any chance you can make sure that people know where the kennel is so that they needn't take the same risk? (Carefully to avoid accusations of libel of course)

New Kennel the usual one was all booked up for the holidays I feel like shit slept on the couch next to him last night (a big deal for me as I feel a dog is a dog not a person)
this place is in Hampshire feel free to IM me if it may affect you.

That is a poor show indeed, it's disappointing when you put your trust in people who then do things like that.

I agree with the others, a call to the RSPCA seems wise. It may stop them doing it to other peoples pets.

In terms of suing them, threaten the use of the small claims court, follow it through if they don't put you right.

I am sorry about your dog Nick and know exactley how you feel about
bad kennels.

I had a spaniel come out of my kennels a few years ago with serious
kennel cough that cost a fortune to put right. The kennels is now closed,
and I am glad to say I had a hand in that

I do swear by a good insurance policy, my Labrador has a hip displacer problem
that is luckily covered on his policy, the cost if he wasn't insured would of been 'preventative'

I'm not interested in money I just want these clowns sorted out the RSPCA thing is getting done on Monday.

it is the lack of treatment that bothers me according to their notes they knew about it for three days.

Nick

PS. thanks for your words it does help.

Sorry to hear about this incident Nick.

Back when I had a dog I would never have given him to anyone outside of my family to look after.

Please keep us up to date on the getting even action.

I take it you didn't pay...?

Make sure you get a vets report done and drag him through civil court... bit of negative press and someone might save you the trouble of Marks suggestion..

Sometimes, Police Officers and people involved in the Court System wish they did not have the career they have. Usually in similar circumstances.

I know that being a FAC holder made me count to 10 a few times !! The same goes when you have an occupation to bear in mind.

In your case, I have the greatest empathy - nothing annoys me more than a victim ( be they animal or human ) who has been hurt purely because they were easy prey and unable to defend themselves.

There are a few animal rights groups which use peaceful protest to further their aims. Then there are a few who take more direct action against those who abuse animals.

Maybe, the latter should be let in on this story. Then they could take whatever action they deem fit..............

Just a thought.

You could shoot his dog in retaliation…
