Well I decided t dump Talktalk, but only because I needed an ISP that could give me a static IP address so I can run a server.
On a recommendation I tried Bethere.co.uk as they are apparently pretty good and offer up to 24 megs.

Bad move. Couldn't access ARFCOM even though they kept telling me there was no problem. Then they said there was a problem....in Colorado and that they'd fix it. Then they said there was no problem. Then they said the problem was at my end. So I sacked them. But they stung me for a £40 cancellation fee. I even asked them if they were theives and were staeling the £40 from me. They said yes

I told them to go and fuck off and now I'm with Zen.

BTW the 24meg speed was only 5.6meg

Now I don't have to work from an Orange 3g Donlgiedoo anymore

For those with a dynamic IP and think they need a static IP for webhosting at home etc, you can use dynamic DNS services like www.dyndns.com/ or www.no-ip.com/ so you can stay with your current provider.

It's good to know someone in the know

I'm with Tiscali, so yes you should be able to access arfcom. Their "up to 8meg" runs at 5meg + or - .3 depending how many are sharing the wet string that passes for the local phone network around here.
