The Police Service received and dealt with a total of 16 reports for the period Monday 26th May to Sunday 2nd June 2008. There were just four criminal reports, and one road traffic report. On Thursday 29th May 2008, Police received a report of theft in the Jamestown area. This case is currently under investigation. On Monday 26th May 2008, one person was given a verbal warning for keeping an unlicensed dog. Another person was given a verbal warning for harassment, alarm or distress. A verbal warning was also given to a person for using obscene language. All offences occurred in Jamestown. During the week under review one road traffic collision occurred on Monday 26th May 2008 in Jamestown involving two vehicles. This accident was not alcohol related and the person at fault was given a verbal warning for driving a motor vehicle on a road without due care and attention and failing to report a road traffic accident.
