Hi all, Tactical solutions had some .22lr uppers at the shot show apparently. I was just checking out the rimfirecentral and it looks like they have now gone on US sale. I wonder if they will make it to the UK shops? Tac Sol Upper |
So you spoke to the guy importing them and didnt ask the price.... ![]() C- - Must try harder |
He told me on te dog'n'bone yesterday that he expects them to retail for around £400. I told him that he's be lucky and that they would probably end up around £550-600. He said, "that'll roughly be the same as a std AR upper" I said "yep" Why do y'all think they'll be any cheaper? coz they shoot smaller bullets?? The materials and parts aren't any less. They use a Rock Creek barrel forchrissake $$$$$ |
Streetfigher, Wayne is always spot on. He got my RB Precision Evolution 10/22 sock and it was a good price as they were temporarily out of production. £550 to £600 sounds about right for TacSol stuff as it is good quality. I was a bit shocked with Icarus saying £1060 just for the upper. Do you know If I need anything special in regards of FAC slots to buy an upper and a lower or do I have to buy a full rifle in one go? or get a local RFD to put it all together and onto my FAC? Kind regards Chris |
Let me know what its like. The current turn around on FAC application is around 4 months here at the moment. I wont have my papers in time for that. |
I was just being cynical Chris I know you like lots of gadgets, but your 10/22 has socks?.............. |
LOL it has a stock. Mabe it would look good in a sock. Might try one on it. My golf clubs have socks |

Ive wanted a tactSol full setup for ages but didnt think i would have to spend nearly a £1000 for it hey I think the thing that pissed me of the most was the price they where selling in the USA for all the gear. Im young and sadly always broke thanks to bloody accomodation costs and the increased cost of living in sw london. I cant wait for the day i can actualy afford the boys toys i pine for has |
Its what you might call reassuringly expensive. Its got to be done. I'm about to spend £930 just for a red-dot and magnifier for a 10/22. Another £1000 for a .22 AR is just a drop in the ocean. Well as long as the misses doesn't work out how much it cost |
