Been looking to tweak my trigger or replace the whole thing for a better trigger unit on my AR-15 I've heard good things about several makes including Chip McCormick Triggers, RRA etc. I have tweaked the trigger a little with an upgraded spring kit but I'm still looking to get a little extra smoothness. Anybody got any hints and tips? Cheers |

There's many triggers but it all depends what you want. The tuned springs really don't do much and it is best to replace the complete unit as even attempting to modify the std one will only get you so far. If you want a single stage, the options are the Accuracy Speaks trigger, or the JP Enterprises one. Both perform similarly. If it's a 2 stage, then starting at the bottom price wise is the Rock River. Non'adjustable except for overall weight. Next up would be Jewell's. They're very good, available and fully adjustable for 1st & 2nd stage weight, sear engagement and over-travel, although I find the 1st stage to be a bit too long. Lastly would be the Geissele 2 stage. These do everything the others do, only better, but they're expensive. I have no opinions about Chip McCormacks triggers, ecxcept they seem good, but are non-adjustable |

Geissele 2 stage; have 3, the best there is. Available in two trigger weight bands, Service Rifle and Match Rifle. For a general purpose AR shooting the disciplines available in the UK I'd recommend a Service Rifle model, adjustable down to 4.5 lbs and not a smoother crisp trigger out there. Buy a Geissele and never want to change it again. |
Nice one chaps Ditto on the UK suppliers..... or from the US without the US State Dept getting their knickers in a twist? I still like the look of the CMC......no hassle drop in crispness without the messing.....I've heard they are good....what know ye of these beasts? ![]() |
