Mark, you should have been in my Regt., we all had our brew kit's at the ready, I wish I'd made a list or thirty of all of the places that I had brewed up in situ. I spent the morning practicing DP1 & DP2 for the next comp's, another 250 9milly down range in the Alpha and Charlie zone's. The rest of the team wants me to buy a major factor pistol, but I'll be sticking with the G17 for the moment. I'll be getting into the tri-gun thing in the near future...maybe not. Tony |
It did hurt, lost count at 9, just had the most un-healthy breakfast you have ever seen, oh and lets not forget the can of coke and a mars bar for the hangover I was really happy to have my 6 year old bouncing on my bed at 7am this morning ![]()

But was there any change left in yer ashtray? |
I purposely checked the car over....for ammo, empty cases and such like, including money |
|
today I will be mostly drinking Becks while reading manuals and prepering for a course I am teaching next week.... A course which i have never attended, and only got the manuals for on friday... Thank Jebus for booze.... ETA, Nice grips, Reminds me of the tigerwood set i had on my 686 back in the day |
| Planted a load of beech trees and spring bulbs, then walked the Labradors in a strong wind with occasional sleet showers. It's chilly in Aberdeen today. Thawed out by sizing, priming and reloading a heap of .223 cases. Refreshed self with can of Speckled Hen before dinner. |
Got the grips from Nill in Germany. Apart from having to cut a hole for the 'extension' they fitted like a glove. Worth every penny. Linkism |
Some nice wood there, I take it you bought the "Tracker" model ones? |
Bill for repairs so far is split between 5 of us... ![]() They're coming back in the morning with a mini digger to excavate a collapsed chamber... We are respopnsible until it reaches main sewer 25m away... |
No the Tracker model won't fit the UK spec' Taurus. Our guns are basically a Model 66 (.357 is medium frame .44 is large frame). The grips that fit are on the website as Model 65 MD/LG Frame. If you look under this then go into details on any of thr grips it gives a list of the models they fit and the Model 66 is there. There's a screw through the side of the grips and a couple of pins to hold it all in place, and like I said before it was a perfect fit, the only necessary work cutting the hole for the rod! BTW.....condolences on the sewer problem........ |
So that's why my Tracker Weaver Scope rail won't fit anything over here (bad advice
Cheers...Hopefully get it sorted tomorrow... Grips may have to wait until after bill though... |

....was dozing on the sofa at 8.30 when the doorbell rang and it was 2 local plod that wanted to talk firearms. More specifically, they wanted to give me a letter regarding the violent crime reduction bill and my responsibilities as a dealer regarding imitations, deacts and the like ![]() I told them that as I don't dabble with that, it doesn't really affect me |
Only 2 months late that's quite good. Most Forces still haven't told anyone about the changes under the Anti Social Behaviour Order Act and that's a few years old now...that one created @68,0000 crimes that haven't been detected yet.
