Anyone going this Saturday (13th Oct) I'm takin' lots of buwets |
|
Hi Vimto Welcome to ARFCOM I don't think it would be a problem coming up on Saturday, but I think it would probably be best to contact the Club Secretary first, John Masefield & have a chat with him. His contact info is on the FCSA website. Let me know if you can't get in touch with him or if you have any Q's etc. Cheers Steven |

thanx everyone just sent an email so fingers crossed no probs lookin forward to it never been to sennybridge whats it like and ive only shot at my local club range which is a massive 25 mtr long so what should i gear should i take ???hints |
Thats not entirely true! Due to a recent military incident in Northern Ireland (where some squadies were shooting their M2 HMG on an inappropriate range, and projectiles were landing in a local town), Warminister panicked, and imposed excessively large emergency danger areas for all .50BMG shooting, including for civilians with their bolt action rifles, and very few ranges have the space for these new danger areas. Sennybridge is too small, so is Warcop, so atm its just Lydd in Kent that has the space, so we can still shoot .50's there. |
I was only refering to Sennybridge, but now I no why, thanks |
money for range fee |
It's called a DSR-1 ![]() Actually the FIBUA village is called Tirabad Good to see you enjoying yourself Vimto Mark |

Quoted: Never seen one of these before, so come on someone educate me i180.photobucket.com/albums/x196/timlad07/L.jpg Yeah thats the DSR. I know a guy who has one, and had a chance to fondle it in the shop. He promised me a shoot with it next time i see him on the range Beautiful rifles. So well designed, and smooth to use. One of the best .308's available in my opinion. Although they are a lot of money. About £5k if i remember correctly! I wish i could have gone to Senny this weekend, but i was on a base in Norfolk on London OTC selection weekend! I'll try and make the next one though! Jim |
Yea I did know that thanks Mark and for anyone interested the link gives an insight into how it got its name Tirabad |
I belive squaddies nicknamed it Tirabad, and it stuck with alot of people. The actual name begins with a C but i can't remember what it is does anyone know ?? ![]() There is a sign on the road as you enter 'F' Range . |
Mine a snakebite.
