| i checked my primers last night, result one pierced and the others flattened, apart from using winchester primers instead of remy benchrest the only other variable was 24.7grs instead of 24.5 rel15, not sure if that was just the 80 grainers, or 77's as well, mixed up. |

My blown primer came from using those crappy MEN cases, which I was just using up as I was given the ammo. I've seen quite a few blown or pierced primers related to MEN brass. Don't think the .2gn difference you mention will be the culprit though.? ETA, when I was using Derricks rifle at last years AZ Nationals, I completely blew the extractor off. (actually it broke) It was during 600yds and another shooter who saw me struggling with a cleaning rod to get the cases out, came up and gave me a replacement extractor. I never knew who he was and never got the chance to say thanks. ![]() Blowing primers and breaking extractors is what shooting's all about ![]() |
