Clearly staged, but an awsome episode last week, i couldn't stop laughing! Loved the cow on the roof, and also the bit at the end when he was apparently threatened with being sued lol. |
My guess is the budget came from all the companies who had a hand in the construction of the rocket.... There seemed to be a lot more techies at th end than at the beginning..... How many companies would respond in the negative if the BBC phoned them and asked if the would like to become involved in a stunt like that... |
I'm not sure it would have been as costly as you think.... It may have looked impressive, but there was nothing too sophisticated involved. Just a few volenteer nerds, a wood and aluminium frame, some pneumatic equipment, and lots of fuel! |
And all the materials, man hours, electronics, fuel, crane hire That wasn't cheap |
I'm not saying it was cheap! It's just i don't think it would have been an obscenely expensive stunt. It would have been well within the programs budget |

The auto reply almost sounds like Clakson..... "Thanks for emailing Top Gear. If your email is complimentary then thanks very much, we think you're great too. If your email is a complaint, please send it to [email protected] where there's a dedicated team to deal with your feedback."[/i Will badger the beeb now.... |

Why do you think the bloody licence fee is so high? Mind you, I was willing the 'Orbiter' to separate from the booster, just to see if it really flew like a brick. Damned impressive nonetheless! This is about the only programme that attracts me, my ten year old son and my seventeen year old daughter to sit down together and watch. |

I watched last weeks episode involving the cow 'roadkill' at the weekend....really funny !!! Loved the petrol station incident too I missed most of last nights episode, just caught the bit where the boosters separated and the 'O2' tank didnt........BOOM !! Which MOD facility did they use ? |
