Sorry if this is a basic question but I'd like to know the answer. How much difference (if any) does a sound moderator make to the accuracy/range of a 223.

I've got a T8 reflex can on my SGC 223 and as I haven't yet had a chance to shoot it on a range I'm interested in what the differnce may be with or without the can.

Cheers

Properly fitted, it won't make any difference to the accuracy, altough they do work pretty well as muzzle brakes, so it's conceiveable that you might even see an improvement.

Some people say that they can affect the harmonics of the barrel, but if that is the case....I've never seen it.

I've never seen a moderator NOT affect point of aim, so dont expect to be able to screw on and off and have the same POI, but other than that, I agree with Mark, should be no change in overall accuracy.

True, in my experience, they shift POI about 4MOA
