You'd be amazed just how many guns Her Majestyness's Constabulary and Armed Forces have 'misplaced' over the  years…

Lost/misplaced/nicked… the numbers are quite amazing.

In the last 5 years 19 Hi-Powers, 27 SA80's and 1 LMG have been nicked along with 34 assorted weapons 'lost' just from MoD establishments, and a few them have been recovered from Yardies in London

Andy
These figures are quite disturbing. I remember the toilet/postbox/pistol and the bag of pistols falling from the van mallarkey but do we have sources for these figures?

And just out of interest do we have facts/figures about lost/stolen SGs and S1 rifles?.

Who is winning?

Thanks Johan
My British to American translator failed on that one.
The Jamaican gangs here are usually quite nasty.

The bag of pistols was the Police… their 'totals' are a rather closely guarded secret… the MoD totals are from a Parliamentary reply

And just out of interest do we have facts/figures about lost/stolen SGs and S1 rifles?.

'Bout 100ish rifles and 400 shotguns a year seems the average

Who is winning?

Well as not a SINGLE handguns has been 'lost' but the public since 1997, not a SINGLE Assault rifle has been 'lost' by the public since 1987 and not a SINGLE machine gun has been 'lost' by the public since 1934… I would say 'we' are the winners…

Loads of them where I live now in South London. A shop close to me had a anti-handgun poster on (operation trident - http://www.stoptheguns.org/index.php). The poster said something like if you carry one of these you get 5 years or something like that. It was a SIg 226, and all I could think of was I wish I could own one legally.
