If you're not a team member, you can't view that thread, or any others in the Team forum. Besides it's somewhat frowned upon, to copy stuff from there to the other forums, especially by those who've coughed up the spondoolies to join. It's a great thread though    Mark |

James My missus used to come pistol shooting with me twice a week. Her favorite was the S&W m686 6" with 38spl rounds (357 magnums used to freak her out a bit ) I always tried fobbing her off with my 22 pistol but she was having none of it. The biggest "piss off" factor was that she was a pretty good shot. I've only met a few chicks who shoot but invariably they are natural shooters......all the pity  She's not shot rifle as yet but it's only a matter of time. It's a bit awkward with my little lad and when he's a bit older he can learn to shoot too. One day when the mother in law has the little fella i'm determined to get her shooting rifle. The charcoal burners at the range will probly be cagoling her to shoot their smoky old flintlocks etc too Cheers Taffy |
James It ain't my bag either but they are a real friendly bunch and there is no "them and us " crap like I've expierenced at other clubs ....even between pistol shooters and rifle shooters. In the club I go to there is absolutely allsorts and all ages and experiences. There is one older guy who gives us the reloading info we need and it's like consulting the "oracle" even though he shoots mainly black powder he is a severe mine of information about literely all kinds of firearms and reloading. In fact our club is hosting a MLAGB match this weekend which I hope to help out with. If you's lucky..  I'll post a few picsTaffy (still a staunch black rifle shooter) |
Say you're an amreican, it worked for me.
Did you get them past the "is that a gun in bed with you or are you just pleased to see me?" bit. When they realise it's a gun, and a black beauty at that, if they stay they're yours for ever!  My wife used to love pistol shooting as well, and wasn't too bad at it either. She used to shoot a .44 Desert Eagle because it was "nicer than the Beretta" - God I love that woman. |
Oh, I've no intention of copying over, I'll keep these babies all for myself, If the BOTD thread was worth the $20, the sweater puppies thread is a bonus Those poor guys just joining the team, how will they ever be able to cope with the next few days of waiting
