My brother in law wants my AR badly. Is there a way to export a 5.56mm AR to Italy?
He's an Italian citizen in Rome. |

only 9x19 and .50BMG are still banned for civilians.
importing an AR in possible, but I dont know how hard is to do it privately since it quite hard for the official dealers. you'd need an export license from the Dept of State & and an import license from the local Police Dept in Rome. never done it so I cant help that much, sorry. the Italian Police website has some FAQs that could help... tell him to check it out. Your main problem would be on the US side with the whole ITAR thing. +1 |

I dont know about Cerakote but the Armeria Camuna sell Gunkote. Rainier Arms is familiar with ITAR & exporting stuff... you could ask them if it's doable I know the guys at Rainier well, and hell, I could probably hire them to send a rifle out, but my concern is on the Italian end. I'll ask though, maybe they have exported to Italy before. |

I hope things has changed lately |
