My most expensive phone bill was DM339 (in 1989) and the then Girlfriend threatened to have the phone disconnected if it happened again.

In today's world of flat-rate I pay €3-4 more a month and enjoy free calls to the UK., from the house phone not the mobile, which is a godsend. Your going to have to talk to your provider and see if they have any good deals, if they don't have a look at other providers, deal direct with any providers don't go getting involved with any of those multi providers like debitel, if you have a problem with the service you have to go through them as D2/D2/O² etc don't know you, you are not their customer.

Stay away from E plus, they have great deals for their customers, but to call into their network can be expensive, I even got billed for a call 4 months after I made it through my provider from them. These days if someone gives me their mobile number and its an E+ I'm rude enough to say stop you don't need to give me the rest as I won't be calling you...

Hope the large bill won't be ruining your Christmas.

Tony
