Spent the weekend up north hunting turkeys. Saw a bunch of turkeys and was lucky enough to get this guy. Anyone else chasing the birds?

Not sure what he weighed, but I am guessing close to 20. He was pretty beefy.
To give you an idea of size, the antler pictured has a main beam length of 43 inches.

It's been about 4 years since I've turkey hunted. I stopped cause I freakin HATE gutting them. I can crawl inside a deer or elk but damn turkeys are gross. I normally go to unit 34 around pinion draw. There's TONS of them there....

Which is a large reason why I don't gut them. Cut out the breast meat, take off the legs and call it day.

We de-bone them then cook them fajita style in a discata with everything but the kitchen sink thrown in. Oh ya, lots of beer helps also.
