Howdy! I will be working in Albuquerque area for the next couple of days and would like to bring some chile home. I am assuming that they are harvesting now. (is this correct) Can anyone point me in the right direction to get some bought right? The last time I got some was years ago but seemed like there were stands set up all over the place selling burlap bags full of the Hatch goodness. |

I like to go to Fruit Basket, there is one 12th street just north of Candelaria. The Sichler Farms stand on San Mateo just south of Lomas is also a good choice. There are two Fruit Basket's on 4th Street. One is just North of Montano and the other is just South of Alameda. The Albuquerque Tortilla Factory on Osuna has it, too. This year's crop is smaller than previous years, due to a late frost, worst drought in fifteen years. Better get it while you can. |

Thanks for the info. I will head over there this morning. Any idea what I should expect to pay? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Farmer's market by my house had 35lbs sacks for $20. Seems to be the going rate at all of the vegetable stands. A buck cheaper at WallyWorld, but why stand in line for an hour for a buck? |

It is worth whatever you have to pay. ![]() You sir are correct. I went to Sichlers yesterday and came home with 6 bags of chile goodness to share with some lucky few individuals here in AZ. Thanks for your help guys! BTW, It was very disheartening to leave the weather you guys have to come home to 119* |
