Since I'm applying to US Border Patrol and I want to be stationed
anywhere except California. Do your homes along the Mexican Border have
basements? I'm from Miami so basements don't exist where I live.

Basements are not really common here.

Most homes here do not have permanent foundations.

Some older ones do.  My parent's house in Alamogordo was built in the 50s and has a basement.  It's not the only one, but it's not too common either.

Basements on the border are an extreme oddity!
Been here many years, can't think of more than one I have seen, and that one was built at great expense!

In the older sections of El Paso, basements were common.  New construction, no.  I believe that would be the norm for most areas along the border.

First of all. Congrats. Its good to hear people care about or sovereignty.

Second, The only places I have see with basements have been (to my knowledge) quite old structures. The wife unit has an aunt that just moved back into  her deceases mothers house to fix it up and stuff invited us over. There is a basement in this house. (being that its a house that she grew up in and she just turned 50 this is the best indicator I have as to the age of the house).

and finally, you be safe out there man.

Doing OK.  I am waiting for some Damn Yankees to show up tonight.  Actually he is a very good friend and his fiance are coming for a visit and to see the Balloon Fiesta.  I haven't seen him in about 17 years since he moved up to NY but have kept in contact through the years.
So how is it going for you?
