Deer/squirrel/hog hunting good, probably about the same as MO Ozarks, except MO has much more turkey. AR has more bear.
Newton = most rugged, least populated county in Ozarks; good for isolationists Boone = pretty farms, Harrison I'm not sure what advantage MO Ozarks is over AR Ozarks, except maybe lower land taxes here? MO has more ground water (springs), I believe. |
| Just looking for a place to build a small place for the wife and I when I retire. Would like to get it paid for before I do. Arkansas offers bear hunting for the wife. And she likes those pine trees. Got to head down about a mile from the line and get my new squirrel dog in a week or two. Might just spend a few hours driving around looking. |
