Impressive audio/vdeo quality. Seems a good deal for $210 with a guarantee. I know we don't use them here in Mesa, AZ, though some of the other valley depts may, or Phoenix. Is this what the Fresno FF was using when he saved the kitten?
Also, dude needs to have his PASS device checked. Any idea where this was filmed? |

Most of their demo videos are filmed in East St Louis, IL. (a dept that once employed 150 firemen, and now has trouble keeping 6 on each shift) The fresno guy was said to have been using a gopro camera, but I can't find any go pro cameras that would work very well for this application. |

That's an impressive drop. The GoPro would be a little heavy and bulky for that application. The tube seems ideal, and about the same price and quality. Edit: Re-read the OP. I'd slap one in an off-set mount and have a great time with it. |

I agree with the gopro not being ideal for mounting on a fire helmet, being thats its a box shape. But I believe a gopro hd cam would blow the "firecam" away in video quality.
I think the video was good quality considering the eviroment, I have seen some amazing gopro hd footage that were filed in harsh environments. |

Go pros are better video quality, no doubt, but they're not surviving a flashover.
