First let me say he is alright but...........

He drove his car into a flooded area last night.  Deep enough for his car to be swept away  I asked him why he drove it into an area of flooding and he said it was raining so hard he couldn't see the road clear enough.  He's out of town somewhere stuck.  Lost his wallet while treading water he said.

I simply can't call him a dumb fuck enough it seems!  I just find it hard to have any sympathy for this boneheaded move.  But he is my son though.

Is a piece of ass really worth it?

Crap he's in Gravel Ridge.

Glad to hear he wasn't hurt.

Once you see him, I'd suggest a MASSIVE Gibbs slap to the back of the head.

Shit now I find out he hasn't even called the cops to make a report yet.   This reminds me of those people who blindly follow a GPS directions and get lost, runs into a tree or something.  lol

Yes, when your young a piece of ass can make men do really, really, stupid shit.  Is it worth it?  When your under the age of 25 it probably is....................luckily age produces some resistance to doing stupid shit, for any reason.
Glad he is ok, sounds like it might end up being an expensive lesson for him though.

For an update.....

He finally made it home.   Guess the road he was driving on was level but in a flood plain.  I know the area well but don't go there anymore.  On Kato road for those familiar.   He actually shut his car down after he drove into the deep water.  Not much current as the vehicle is still sitting in or near the middle of the road.  He showed me a pic from his phone.    The water level is almost covering the car now but hasn't been washed anywhere.   Guess it might be a few days before he can get the car recovered.

I told him he should have tried to back the car out as it was still running but he felt the car slightly "floated" so he shut it off.  I guess the momentum carried him slightly into deeper water.  He said he was in almost chest high water after exiting the vehicle.

A pic to follow....

Here is as it sits around noon today

I thought of maybe trying to recover it today but there's nothing in the vehicle.  I figure the damage is already done.  Might as well let it sit a few days.  All the rain today has probably covered it completely now.

I just hope his insurance covers it all to at least pay off the loan.

For an update....we recovered the car out of the water on Wed.  Had it towed back to the house.  Insurance adjuster came today and of course totaled it out.   Good news though is State Farm values the car at more than my son paid for it.  So that's a WIN!
