I would not join a modern union. In days pat, they were a necessary evil. Now they are just evil.

I am not opposed to collective bargaining. I am opposed to coerced participation and against union support of political parties.

Gotta do what's best for you. If it is the union, then so be it.

Just know that your dues will go to support extra curriculars that you may or may not agree with.

I do agree with HBR. They served a purpose in the past, but now are a cancer on society.

I work for your competition in the landline buisness. I was offered a job with Att a few years back and the main reason I did not take it was because of the union.

Although we do have some areas that are union shops in the LR area we do not and I love it. But I can tell you this it is going to be hell if you do not join the union.  And you will be the first one out the door when there is a workforce reduction.
