Eh, If I had felt like going that route I have plenty other more convincing tools.  I am, unfortunately, a law abiding citizen.

FWIW batons are illegal for us common folk in AR

we can be trusted/tested(?) for CCW of a firearm, but we aren't smart enough to protect ourselves with a stick according to the state.

*I don't have the exact code, but I did look it up last year when I was researching it and it specifically forbids batons and collapsible batons

My CHL course was given by a retired judge, he quoted an Arkansas statute that forbid carrying a knife, club, or gun with the intent of harming another person.  A CHL is a "defense" against this law but it only pertains to guns.  He also added that having a knife with a blade longer than 4" is prime facia (sp?) evidence that it was meant to be used against a person.  Seems like half the state of Arkansas is violating this one.

don't even get me started:
concealed vs open , if you don't have a CCL you're breaking the law no matter what (think hunters/shooters etc)
hell, the LOWEST you are allowed to have headlights here is 24" from the ground... think of all the FACTORY cars that have lights lower than that...
and on and on....

plenty of dumb and old laws that should be changed/trashed, but hey, it's AR and they've got other stuff to do in our .gov

Removing a law would be just that, removing a law. Which is why it will never happen.
