Gentlemen
On August 7th we will be having our second shoot at MVSA in Hot Springs on the IDPA Range. This will be similar to the first event we had two months or so ago. A laid back get acquainted shoot, timers will be available should you wish to keep your own score. Although it is primarily a rifle EBR event you are more than welcome to shoot it with pistols, bolt guns, lever actions what ever ya want (no Class III per MVSA rules). We will try to begin the days activities at 8 AM so come a little early if possible. We are laying out the shoot scenarios so sound off on what you want to do. This is limited to the first 20 people who are not members of MVSA. Let me know if you are attending! |

Heres the scoop for those who are wondering! Its all just for grins! The purpose of this little outing is to build skills and friendships. This is not meant to be a speed shooting event more like a lets build friendships, help people attain speed and skills event! We'll run some IDPA scenarios 1 gun, 2 gun etc and finish the day with a good old fashioned line shoot. We are toying with the idea of a shotgun scenario simple stuff to build peoples skills. |

I would like to do another shoot through cover style. Like when we shot through the windshield of the truck to hit the target.
Maybe we could set up an old story of how some marine guy shot a bunch of charging soldiers with his side arm. He started with the furthest and worked his way up to the front of the line form the back. I forgot where I saw that story, but I thought from long range to short range would be a change in the format I've seen up there thus far. |

little rock Take I-30 West to the Hot Springs Exit (#111) onto Hwy. 70 West. Follow Hwy. 70 W. to the intersection of Hwy. 128. Turn right onto Hwy 128 and proceed 7 miles to Millcreek Rd. Turn left on Mill Creek Rd. and follow approximately 3 miles, turn left at the gravel pit (just past Deerpark Rd.). Proceed app. 1.9 miles to MVSA signs on the left. |
