We gotta vote tuesday. Let us know who you think the best canidates are and why..
For senate I like the sound this guy Ken Hendren I think his name is, seems to tell it like it is. Although I expect Boozeman to win and he is my congressman I won't vote for him because he will just be business as usual washington style. What about Princella Smith for congress. And on the state level we need some gun friendly canidates anybody know any. For what I consider a conservitive state I feel we have some pretty restrictive gun laws. |
|
I like Jim Holt for Senate.
I had the opportunity to listen to most of the 3rd district for congress candidates and came away really impressed with Mike Moore. As for the Supreme Court Justice race I like John Fogleman pos 3 and Karen Baker pos 6. I don't know as much as I would like about the people mentioned above, but they seem like good conservatives from the little research I have done. Make sure everyone votes in the primary so we are not stuck voting for candidates that are not true conservatives. |
|
Boozman will win.
Holt is good on the issues as far as positions but is a creepy person to the extent I'm not going to post here. Princella is a good friend of mine but I don't think she will win. She got in too late. Anyone but Womack in 3rd. Courtney Henry is the conservative in the SC against fogleman. Check www.arkansasvotersguide.com for local candidates. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Holt does have that creepy vibe going, but I am voting for him in the primary anyway. Except for Col Reynolds, all of the repub hopefuls have a creepy vibe going. Boozeman is one of the Repubs that governed like democrats when Bush was running the show. I want him fired just for that. |

Even if it costs us the seat, it won't cost me my conscience. |

Win or lose, Trevor is a part of the future and I'm damn glad I've been involved with his campaign since before he could collect signatures. Unlike any of the others, a vote for him is actually a step in the right direction.
I don't care how conservative an individual republican is, the party is not and they'll vote party line. Trevor has enough spine and enough heart to vote for us as he's supposed to. He's a social conservative so we disagree on plenty, but he is the exact brand of small government, low tax rate, conservative that can put this road on the path to recovery. And since most of this country is to stupid to elect conservative libertarians like they actually agree with (who doesn't echo "I wish the government would stay outta my wallet (fiscal conservative) and stay the hell outta my life (social liberal)) the ill take a social/fiscal conservative. Col Conrad Reynolds is a fine man, the kind we need in the US Senate, NOT another career politician.
He has a lot of potential and is being downplayed/ignored by the big party machines on both sides because he is not one of them. That is another reason to vote for him. I served with him when he was in the Army and I know he is trustworthy and level headed. A real leader. He is nobodys boy. I dont live in AR at the moment so cannot vote for him, but have followed the race. No matter the outcome on Tuesday, compare the polling claims with the primary results. I suspect you will see that he has more support than the polls show. The machines want you to think he is unelectable. |
| Can someone enlighten me on John Fogleman vs. Courtney Henry for SC? From what I have seen Fogleman is the better choice for conservatives and Henry comes from a Liberal background with big liberal supporters, but I would like more information on why you guys dislike Fogleman? Thanks. |

Thanks. Max Brantley (ultra-liberal "journalist" at the Arkansas Times) seems to support Fogleman. Here's a link: Link That's all I know. I've been too busy to pay much attention to politics this spring. I'll gather my intel tonight and vote as best I can tomorrow. Suggestions (and reasons) are welcome. |

They are both well entrenched and have support on both sides of the isle. I don't think one will do the job much better than the other, we are going to end up with about the same product in the end a mostly impartial judge that will screw up some something.
I've been paying attention and nothing stands out on either one good or bad with the exception of the whole west memphis three can of worms. Still haven't made up my mind. Both of them talk the talk, claiming to be impartial and will decide cases according to the rule of law. |

Quoted: Am I the only one who is really tempted to vote in the Democrat primary just so I can vote against Blanche? no and no. were i to vote in that primary, i'd be voting FOR her. even a vote for Morrison, IMHO, is a vote for Halter –– and i don't want him to even get CLOSE! |
|
For all of the Benton County Residents:
I know Dave Bisbee has had some problems, but I can assure you that you do not want Bob Clinard as county judge. I would prefer to vote for neither, but will probably be throwing my vote away with the other two candidates in the race. I am in no way affiliated with Bisbee or know who he is, but I do know who Bob Clinard is and don't trust him for a second. Just my 2 cents. |
|
Quoted: I nearly voted for Blanche. I hope that there is a run off in that primary, with Blanche the eventual winner. She has a great deal of money and I want her to spend it defending her seat. I do not want her to be put out and thus freeup her warchestto aid some other scumbag that may actually win. If she winds up in a run off, then she will have to spend even more money hammering another dem instead of a conservative. Halter hasn't made anybody mad yet. If he gets the dem nod, he could win. |

I started looking into Trevor Drown tonight. I can't see myself voting for Boozman. I like Trevor, but if he was elected (which there's no way in hell he will, I just hope his vote total isn't embarrassing), what could he possibly accomplish as a totally inexperienced Independent in Washington? He says all the right things and has all the proper stances. He was SF, I get it. Cool dude. But c'mon let's be realistic. |
|
Boozeman was smart today in front of the cameras, on the news at least. "It's all about jobs, jobs, jobs". IMHO, Absofuckinlutelyright!
I am glad Henry won. She seems almost genuine. As for the people who put together her opponents t.v. adds, a little adivice. Next time, don't try and demonstrate the amount of "time" by flashing a 10k Rolex watch....idiots. Doesn't quite go over well with the breaking their back to just get by crowd..... Whomever put together that Idian "thank you bill halter" on t.v. comercial kept ol' blanch in the race. Someone might want to tell her handlers to keep the smirking brats away from the podium next time. As far as Benton County goes, our judge who was arrested won his race. Our sheriff who was under investigation won, but not by much. Go figure, Benton County. I hope i never get caught in the cogs of the system. Having moved here recently, poor, and not related to anyone, I would be toast. |

It is what it is and basically it's all we have short of all-out revolution. How long would it take to change the current system through the ideas of Washington political outsiders like Trevor Drown (who are VERY few and far between might I add) before the the liberals totally take over? I'd put my money on liberals obtaining COMPLETE power first, YMMV. People who act like we have all the time in the world are the ones who make me fucking sick. This shit is in our face RIGHT NOW. Face the reality on the ground. |
