I had to ford a river to get from Cabot to Jacksonville last night.  Anyone now how it is now?

wife just said it's closed

we came thru there about 9pm last nigt and it was a fucking river between the baracades at the work zone... lots of folks acting the idiot and going down the onramp backwards etc... few stalled out cars as well. When we came from Beebe, around Austin there were 3-4 cars well off the road and debris all over it

it's a damn mess

I don't know, but when I saw the flooding on I-30 and 67/167, this came to mind:

Closed between the 440 exit & Main St in Jax since yesterday.

I live right near HWY161on the edge of Jacksonville - it was downright nasty going anywhere today.

It's still closed @ Jacksonville. Now they have the 161/Old Jacksonville Hwy closed headed south @ Rixie too.

no surprise......actually, i'm surprised it didn't close much sooner.  Brushy Island/McAlmont are really low areas...

it is now open again.  looks like the 440 ramps and the redman road ramps are still under water, but at least you dont have to travel around in circles to get from cabot to sherwood

just a simple matter of hopping over to 107.

I didn't even have that option this morning - 161 was closed down by the 440, and up at Reed's Bridge. With Valentine/Wooten Rd being flooded - I just stayed home today; I had food & booze, and didn't feel like driving around any barricades...

i don't enjoy going to Greenville, either

yesterday, West Main was a fawking LAKE.  we were on our way from Beebe to LR and ended up fording about 2' of water in that low area between town and Harris Rd (closer to Harris).  mom'll be pissed if she ever finds out that the floorboards of her Exploder got wet
.  woulda done better to head over the north side of base.  that area's G2G.
