| Been doing alot of checking to the spikes 22 uppers.From what I have found they have a pretty good reputation using the right ammo (Federal). I am used to the Federal ammo. I have a Ruger 10 22 Valquartsen carbon fiber barrel,Val. trigger job,Hogue stock.It is also very particular to what I run thru it so that will be no problem.I purchased one of Spikes lowers and I am wanting to build a dedicated 22 for squirrel hunting and punching holes in paper and anything else I fell the need for. I do alot of squirrel hunting with dogs (West Siberian Laikas,Curs,and Fiest)and I think one of these would make a dam good squirrel rifle. Do any of you guys have one and what is your opinion on the ST 22 uppers? |

It will probably be a little more than the $550.Got a few things to sell at the fun show this weekend to be able to fund another project. Then I will get a little more serious about purchasing!

I am taking the year off Lookin to transfer to Florida Coastal in the Spring or Vandy next fall. My parents are attorneys here in LR.
FYI: Law School and Grad programs are hard on relationships.

I just wanted some feedback on Spikes uppers not to cause problems! I am sure we are all adults here so we need to act like it! I think we were both dissapointed when we got it home and finally figured out how to break it down. You have to loosen the flash hider to take the tension of the pins to get them out.And to our surprise they are full of pot metal! Kind of a shame to have Colt on the side of it! And to top that, it also had somethind on it about Fort Smith AR I would have to look again on that one!

S&W has a new AR-pattern .22lr. finger fawked one at Gander Mtn this evening. pretty sweet and the last shot lockback even works! you're pretty well stuck with an adjustable stock, though, as there is no removable receiver extension. light as hell, too!
