Anyone here in central AR come recommended to thread a barrell?  I wanna put a flash hider on my Bushy Predator.  Nothing there now so it needs to be threaded.  I'm thinking about John's Gun Shop on Arch street but haven't called yet.

I thought about that already.  I just wondered how straight the threads need to be to make sure the attached devices don't interfere with an exiting bullet if the threads aren't perfectly aligned with the barrel.

on a serious note, this is a job for the proper tools if there ever was one. Some muzzle devices have clearances as small as .010.

I don't think John's would do it. You don't want just anyone threading a barrel, especially if you will be using a suppressor. You want it threaded concentric to the bore, not the outside diameter of the barrel.

John Norrell might be able to do it. It just depends on how much work is is doing presently.

I sent one to Aurora Tactical in Springdale about 5 years ago and the did great work. Aurora TacticalThey were at a gunshow in Little Rock last year with a few of their cans.  You could also send it to ADCO or Tornado Technologies. I just sent barrels to Tornado Tech. Hopefully I will have them back soon.

Sounds like it's a big enough deal to make sure it's done correctly.  Based on the things I've read on this site I guess I'll probably just send it to ADCO.  The seem to have a pretty quick turn around time.  Heck I haven't even shot this new gun yet and I've had it about a month already.  Still waiting for the RRA scope mount I ordered.
