Everyone should experience the deep depression and the dizzying highs of owning a 1911.

My Kimber custom II is 7 years old, and I have yet to have a single problem with it.  And it will out shoot any of the handguns I have ever owned which is more than I can remember at this point.

You sir, just have had bad luck with the 1911.  I have a friend who bought a brand new Kimber with nothing but problems, had to send it back twice for feeding issues.  So I guess I just lucked out with mine.  And it was not a $2k gun, in fact I paid less than $700 for it brand new.

1911s are like classic cars....nothing today compares with them but you have to tinker with them every once in a while...that is why I have four.

My S&W 1911 runs better than my Colt 1911

And the Colt spent alot of time at the Colt Custom Shop before it made its way to my safe. The S&W is factory

My 1911 is fucking plastic, holds 14 rounds, was cheaper than your 1911s, and is malfunction free through 1500 rounds so far. And my mags are only 16 bucks each!

Wanna be my ass.  That gun is everything a 1911 is, and more. As in more bullets, and more reliable.

Oh, and fully loaded, it's lighter than a standard Springfield 1911. EMPTY.

a: thats really relevent to my post you quoted.

b: Who was it that was ready to get rid of their G21sf to get a 1911? Because they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with the factory sights? And who had to spend extra bucks and extra time, much like a 1911 gunsmith, to get it running smooth and configured to where you could actually shoot it again?

Yeah. Thats right. It was Dan.

what "extra" had to be done to a glock to get it "running smoothly"?  New sights?  Thats not gunsmithing...  thats mandatory for any serious gun.  Sights are personal preference.  Glock puts 10 cent plastic sights on because they know the end user will change them and dont want to waste money on something that will go in the trash.
