Does anyone else see the irony? Today's observance of Veterans' Day, (Armistice Day) comes on the heel of the most disastrous national elections our country has ever seen. 62 million citizens ( and many that probably aren't) have put a group of fascists, Marxists and communists in charge of the United States of America.
Americans and citizens other countries, have died or otherwise had their lives ruined, defending the rights and freedoms of people all over the world. Now, a bunch of mentally challenged fools, have elected to office, a group of people that disagree with our way of life and want to take it away. A truce or Armistice was signed on, the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, of the year 1918. Ninety years later, here we are. Veterans' Day has another special meaning to me. I was born on guess what? The 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, many years later. It was a Saturday morning. It is always a day of mixed emotions for me. I wonder how many have died in all the wars, protecting this country? What would they think about this new group that wants to take all of this away? |

One thing you need to remember is it's not so much the group(s) that were elected to run the country but the groups of people who actually did the voting for these loons. Just think about all the voters who feel this way and try not to put too much on the few individuals who will now be in charge. This is government by the people. Guess what, now we're seeing just how bad our crappy education system really is and how many people vote thinking of how Uncle Sam can give them more. I certainly respect everyone's right to vote and understand we may have differences of opinion but I'm just about to the point now where if the other side is voting to elect someone who wants to take my rights away, well then that's tantamount to that person actually trying to take my rights away. So what would we do if someone approached you on the street and tried to take something away from you?

Guys, I am 60+, and the last time I saw this "Cult of Personality" was either with Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol-Pot, or that crazy jerk in No. Korea.
