I saw 5 of them fly over Conway yesterday fully loaded flying due East.  Did anyone else see them and what the hell are they doing in Arkansas??

And yes all 5 Had 8 Hellfires hanging from them.

They headed right over my house about a week ago heading west.  Probably doing exercises at chaffee or sill.

There have been a pair of low flying fighters flying almost over my house lately. Still haven't seen them cause of the trees plus they have been pretty low. Scares the shit out of my cats.

My aunt used to work at a plant that assembled Apaches. She even had a black lab named "Apache."
It'd be cool to see a formation of them, all I ever see are C-130s.

I used to see B-2s in MO, I went to college near Whiteman AFB.

They trail over Lockman's place and mine all day about the same height.  I've been able to read tail numbers before.

I have a buddy in the army reserve and they are doing their 2 week summer thing down there at chaffee right now until Memorial day. I could only imagine that things will be a little more noisy until then.

Bring your happy selfs up here to my neck of the country and you will see F/A 18, Harriers, Helo's (53,46,Cobra's) and here the sounds of 155 howitzer rounds impacting.  It makes me smile.  You haven't lived until you get invited to pull the lanyard on a 155 Howitzer.

I've called A-10's and F-16's for CAS (in an excercise)....
Watched AH-64's do thier thing in Kirkuk...
Participated in a kick-ass downed pilot scenario in a CH-47 (those things will do SOOOO much more than I thought!)...
Combat landings in C-17's and C-130's....

I like the flying things...especially when they make things go boom....

they had an airshow last weekend in Ft. Smith, My son said the Apaches were there in force.... said they also performed something some people call "Generations"  maneuver in which a sexy new F-22 leads a formation with a kick ass couple of WW2 warbirds and a F4 and and F14,15 and 16... but that is what I was told anyway...

I was on my way home about 3:10 pm this afternoon and saw two of them flying relatively low.  They looked as if they were flying from the LR airport.  I was just past the 65th street exit on I-30 going toward downtown.

Pretty cool machines.  They had a lot of stuff hanging below them.  I was traveling too fast to tell what all of it looked like.
