Arkansas has expanded its list of states with which it has concealed carry reciprocity. This means that if you have an Arkansas carry license, you may carry in these states, and people in those states may carry in Razorback country. When you're in the other state, you're obligated to follow their gun laws, not your own state's law. Example - If an Idaho person visits Little Rock, they follow Arkansas law. If the Razorback visits Idaho, they must follow Idaho law while in Idaho. From the State Police website, this list of reciprocal states is: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana (State issued permits only, Parish issued permits not valid), Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virgina. |

here is link to the Arkansas Concealed Carry Assc. they show that we have the following: www.arkansascca.org/legislative.html Alaska Arizona Colorado Florida Idaho Indiana Kansas Kentucky Louisiana Michigan Minnesota Mississippi Missouri Montana North Carolina North Dakota Oklahoma Pennsylvania South Carolina South Dakota Tennessee Texas Utah Vermont Virginia West Virginia 26 States in all, so in the end looks like we might be better off than Utah's and Florida's. |
The state must allow a non resident to obtain a permit. Only ones I know of offhand are Florida and New Hampshire. |

Agreed! Shouldn't need a permit at all...........
