I guess I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, or maybe it's all this fucking rain, I dunno. Anyway, last week I boxed up a Savage 112 heavy barreled rifle, sans stock, and shipped it to Gemtech for shortening, and threading, weighed 8lbs. cost $12.91 to ship it to Idaho. I thought "hell, that ain't bad to go all the way across the country", well I get to thinking (unusual, and not a good thing). Gemtech charges me $20 return shipping, and the damn thing will be at least a pound lighter. Essential Arms charges me $14 for a little bitty box with 3 stripped lowers in it, another one is an AR upper $19. WTF over? Then this morning I cruise over to Fulton Armory's website thinking I might pick up a couple of slick side carriers, and guess what? $15 to ship two bolt carriers! I fucking know it does'nt even come close to costing that much to ship the damn things. If you need to charge more for your product then price it accordingly, don't fuck me on the shipping end. Pisses me off. |
I think that is one of the biggest ripoffs on ebay. They charge high shipping charges and get more $$ in their pockets without having to pay the ebay fee on it. I don't mind paying a fair shipping charge, but some of it is getting outrageous!! |
I'd buy that, if I was'nt shipping stuff all the time, but I know for a fact it does'nt cost $19 to ship a barreled upper, and I know for a fact it does'nt cost $15 to ship 2 bolt carriers to me either. It's this kind of shit when I get to the "Check Out" page that makes me cancel orders. Brownells and Midway does'nt try to stick in my ass when I order from them, so why does just about everybody else try it? |
