Seems like a big junk of us may be. I can see a tacked thread of ham resources in the near future.....

Been one since 1976. General Class. I haven't been on in several years. I used spare bedrooms for my shack, but for some reason kids seemed to keep coming around and taking up the spares.
I'll have to look into that one day and see what is causing it... ?

What type of FCC license is required to be a ham operator. Years ago I had a class 1 restricted radio telephone license When I worked in radio.

Probably would be easier to get a technicians license. It cost me $14.00 for the test and about 13 hours of study to get mine.
