Anybody find anything they couldn’t live without? Did anybody see the MAK-90 with the 3ed hole? A dealer in the back room kind of in the middle of the room had a MAK-90 with a composite stock on it. It had the cutouts for an under folder with the plats riveted over them. It also had the third hole with a rivet thought it. I didn’t say anything to the guy about it. He said he was an FFL dealer and he tried to talk a lot of shit to convince me he knows all about Chicom rifles but WTF. If he knows all about Chicom rifles then why dose me not know that he is trying to sell an illegal contraband rifle. O well I hope nobody unknowingly ended up with this one. I have herd about people seeing them for sale but this is the first one I have held in my own hands. I carefully set the weapon back down and went on my way. I hope everybody found what they were looking for. If you did then it’s time to let everybody in the home town forum know about it…

I have seen some non compliant rifles but that one takes the cake. Did they have any reloading supplies? I might head out there tomorrow to pick up some primers.

I don’t reload but there seemed to be a couple of dealers with bullets, brass, powder and primers. You know me I was there looking for AK stuff and there were a few nice poly tech rifles but I couldn’t see spending $750 for one of them. So anyway they are there waiting for one of ya’ll to get them…lol

I just got a heads up from a friend who went today, he said that security was checking everyone when they left with metal detectors, and said that they would arrest for CCW violations, ect...

You can't at any I've ever been to, plus this is at the state fairgrounds so I guess they treat it just like any other state building.

I think this ranks up there with the incident a few years back when the state showed up and started to charge to park without notifying the promoter, there was a huge stink over that one, they were making announcements over the PA about who to complain to monday.  Needless to say, they don't charge to park now, they just have a security guy at the gate passing out free parking passes...

I went today and realized someting - I am burned out on gunshows. I walked in, found the cheapest pistol primers, looking around a little while doing so, and walked out.

I heard the comment today that someone said that it looked like a Hot Springs Allen Bowles show, if you've ever been to one, you know what that means...

I also heard that someone came in with a 30 carbine that he had purchased at an estate sale, and sold it to a dealer.  It was checked over and was confiscated and will be turned over to BATFE monday, seems it had a fun switch without paperwork.

Yep the gun shows are very entertaining, lol, I mean dont get me wrong,We know if we are looking for that hard to find parts we most likely will find them at the gun show which is good,BUT there is always the few dummies trying to get rich over pricing weapons too. I sure didnt know that olympic AR-15s go for 850.00??? lmao, I really get a kick out of some of the sellers,And I know after you guys are finished looking for what you went there for you ask some of them guys prices for kicks,I cant help it,its just funny as hell to me!!!

I went, bought some ammo and one part I needed.  Other than that I did not see anything at a price that seemed like a bargain.  Sure makes me think that I should up my insurance on my guns.  Everything I have they were asking almost twice what I paid for mine.  Sure would cost a lot to replace them at those prices.

You guys just don't know where to look for the
bargains. I always come home with a new
toy or two. I do tend to sell them rather quickly
after the new wears off.

Let us know when you put something up for sale.
Better to keep them in Arkansas…

JJ the next time you go then I need to follow you around.  I saw a lot of stuff much higher than I ever seen them for sale here on the EQ exchange.  I have found lots of bargains here on this web site, but none at the show.  I did see good prices on parts and stuff but I must not have looked at the right places.  Frank

Hi Frank, this DPMS rifle followed me home sunday.

I am thinking about going retro with this one. It already has a
A1 stock. I just need triangle hanguards, A1 pistol grip
and a three prong or birdcage flashider. It has a pretty cool
Fabian mil-brake but it won't go with the look I want.

JJ, I still have the triangle grips if you want to trade them, I used the A1 stock on my AK47 and traded the A1 pistol grip for an A2 already, but I got a grip that looks close to an A1.  Give me a call, or e-mail and I'll bring them by. Frank
