| Is there anyone left in AR? The HTF is dead. |
|
No there is not much happening. I try to check in here every once and a while but there never seems to be very much going on. Well I shouldn’t really say that, there’s not much going on in here if you like AK’s but there is some talk about AR’s and suppressers. So anybody else into AK’s? |
|
Heck, it's summer time, maybe everyone is out enjoying the weather. I don't have alot of time for posting in the summer, way too busy making a living. As far as AK's go, I've got an SAR 1, SAR 2, and an AMD 65 SBR project that's been on the back burner for at least a year. Oh, yeah I have a PG converted Saiga 12 too. |

Still here... Finding it difficult to find time and a place to go shoot lately. As far as AK's- Really want one. Wanting to build it unless I can find one assembled cheap. Now finding a parts kit in my price range is a bit trickier.... was looking at Century's Romy's for Dealer Price of $70.... sounds like too much of a crap shoot. Classic has Romy kits with G2 triggers (un matched kits) for $100... tempting. Never shot one, bank account is on vapors due to recent Garand acquisition. Wife keeps saying "we need to pay off YOUR truck, our student loans and our credit card first...". Sheesh. |
Is that for a complete kit to build an AK with? If so do you have any more info that you could email me? Thanks |
|
I think these are kits without the receiver. Look at classic arms web site They are supposed to be good people. steve |

Yep, those are the kits. Combine that with a receiver and the rest of the compliance parts and wholla. I have heard many good things about Classic. I'm seriously considering getting the kit even if it sits in the closet for a year. The prices will not get lower. I need a second job to pay for more gun gear. I am down to just a few thousand rounds of combined fodder. Some calibers are in single digits..... |

Wolf I want to build a polish underfolder, tell me where to get the kit and reciever and we can meet up at my shop and build away. I built my ar and now I would like to do an ak but I imagine a little help would really speed it up. Please reply soon, I'm in Rogers. |
Hello CoveyRise, When offered to help somebody else with there AK builds I didn’t mean that I would come out to your shop and help. What I meant was if you had a question I would try and help you out. I got my under folder from another member on this board. You can order them from a bunch of different suppliers around the internet. I ordered a 100% Global Traders receiver over the internet and had it shipped to a local FFL and had it transferred to me. Building an AK is a lot different than building an AR, from what I understand. If you want to build an AK this site has a lot of helpful information about different ways of building AK’s. AK Building If you get started on your build and run into troubles let me know and I will try to help you out. |
