I'm exploring an opportunity that would move me from the Houston, TX area to Nebraska City.
I have actually worked at the OPPD plant in that area, but it was years ago and my experience was in, get the job done, and out. I never saw much of the area.
What should I know before I really consider the move?

my bro in law just moved there last year for a teaching job.  so far, i think he likes it, but he travels back to Lincoln often since he has many friends there.  i remember the streets are named kinda weird.

as for NE City, the Lied Lodge is pretty cool and they have an apple festival or something every year that is pretty popular.  there are wineries in the area.  its the home place of Arbor Day.  google "Things to do Nebraska City" and it came up with a lot of resources, but not sure if any of it interests you.
