Mike at Healthmart is great(I use him for all my transfers now) and he does consignments, but that's a pretty limited customer base there.
Not sure what you mean by "hassle of all the paperwork" unless you are selling to someone who is not local and shipping to their ffl. If local, just make sure the purchaser has a purchase or concealed carry permit. |
| I'm primarily referring to the hassle of people wanting to see it, and yes, it is nice to sell through a dealer so they can verify the purchaser, have them fill out the ffl form, etc. I figured Healthmart's customer base would be limited. Maybe I will wait until the range opens in Waterloo. |

There are no "best shops for consignment". Just post it on NFOA board. I've bought and sold a few on there. Never any problems or hassle. The folks on that board are gun enthusiast so everyone knows the drill if you want to do a bill of sale etc. It's no big deal. Just ask to see their carry permit.

Be sure to get your ad exactly how you like it on the NFOA forum before submitting as unless something has changed recently you can't edit an ad (even for a price change) once it is submitted. It just made the whole sales forum worthless in my opinion.
I actually stopped posting on there because of that and just post on here or on Snipers Hide now. I have posted on Midwest Gun Trader in the past as well with decent results though. |
